Jordans Bee Gardens

There's a reason we won The Green Award, we help support one of the largest populations in the UK - the bees.

Not only have we helped Jordans promote its bee messages on the road, we have also designed and installed 3 discovery centres around the UK: Hitchin Buzzworks, Kew Gardens and up in Pensthorpe.

Working closely with bee expert Robin Dartington and the Kew Gardens education team, we created a set of hexagonal info boards covering all areas of bee education at key stage 2. We even included some facts in there for our adult visitors, did you know that "The male honey bees are called drones, and they do no work at all, have no stinger, all they do is mate". – Mmmm I think we all know a few drones!

The discovery centres were created to be permanent exhibitions where local schools and groups could book in and meet with one of the bee experts, we even built some new observation hives so the kids could watch honey being made.

Could that bee any more perfect? - Sorry, we had to get a pun in there somewhere!
