Sledge and Metro are old friends and so when Metro decided that they wanted to run a breakfast meeting for some of their important partners, we happily agreed to help.

Working closely with VCCP who came up with the look and feel of the event, we went off to find a venue. We put forward a stunning disused church in Central London called One Mayfair, the perfect contradiction to the ultra modern content.

We used a mixture of impactful lighting and technology to help create the right environment; we designed animations that replicated the stain glass windows in the venue that morphed into the event logo and the Metro logo. This was another example of incorporating the classic features of the venue but giving them a modern twist.

We used a similar technique with the catering, we served traditional breakfast dishes but served them in a modern way. Clear Perspex serving stations with built in changing LED lights were used to add to the lighting effects.

The event looked great, there was a delicious selection of food but what about the speakers? We enlisted Jess Greenwood of Contagious Magazine to host the event who has an incredible knowledge of the changing environment we live and work in. We also invited Josh Spears, Mark Earls and Chis Greenwood along to give us their points of view on the Future of Urban Living. All were well received by the audience, prompting a huge amount of discussion on twitter as to what would actually happen. Now we just have to wait to see who was right!
