Pharma Consumer Healthcare Conference
GlaxoSmithKline briefed Sledge to refresh staff enthusiasm and understanding of new products at their annual Consumer Healthcare conference in Munich.

Following the recent launch of a key new product, Alli, Sledge were asked to help refresh enthusiasm and understanding of the product as well as help embed the company's new ‘Ask Your Pharmacist First’ campaign. In addition to being an informative event, we were asked to create an event that was celebratory and that would instil pride as individual country teams as well as one overall unified global team.
We provided simultaneous translation in 11 languages to engage with over 28 countries. We created an Olympic-style opening ceremony on Day One that gave each of the countries the chance to shine. Images provided by each of the 28 countries summing up their nation were programmed into an animated sequence pre-event.
As the relevant country segment of the sequence played, a representative from each country walked up to place a piece of a structure on stage. As the pieces built, the structure became a giant 3D representation of the Alli shuttle – signifying a unified company behind the product launch. Country teams got to their feet and supported their representatives, waving flags and glow sticks!
On Day Two, following individual national meetings in the morning, we created a closing ceremony to mark the end of the international meeting. Bouncing stiltwalkers in UV costumes performed in the aisles and around the central stage. They were followed by spinning LED poi performers onstage, programmed with key GSK logos to fit with the musical anthem for the Pharmacy business.
