Nokia N900 Launch
Here at Sledge, we love to throw a good party, and what could make a better party than some funky tech kit, some very intelligent guys, a free bar and robots? Nothing is the answer.

The Nokia N900 is a pretty cool piece of kit that can be hacked by any name-worthy geek to do pretty much anything. Nokia ran a competition that asked the geeks of the world to do just that. We were asked to create a party for the winners to show off their hacks.
Inspired by the theme of geeks, hackers and their underground activities, we chose the Village Underground in Shoreditch, London as our venue. The tough bit was creating a party atmosphere whilst making sure the hacks were displayed to their best effect on an exhibition stand.
Host Robert Llewellyn (who played robot Kryten in Red Dwarf) kept us all entertained and naturally there was a dancefloor. The DJ was surrounded by pole dancing robots (no, really), created by Giles Walker and commissioned especially for the party. These unique robots responded to SMS instructions that made them dance, light up and billow smoke. See, geeky things are pretty cool!
