Brief:

AEG briefed Sledge to create a festive experience for visitors with a disco-themed ice rink.

Solution:

Sledge created The Ice Disco: a 900 meter squared ice rink complete with a rink side bar, viewing area and DJ booth. The installation (which will remain for 4 months) is located in the London Piazza can hold up to 300 skaters at any one time.
In order to give the rink a disco feel, specifically programmed lighting and a plethora of glitter balls were suspended from the surrounding truss.

Results:

So far, the ice rink has been a huge success, with ticket sales out-selling all other rinks in London.
