Giving back: it must form part of events in 2024

Whether corporate or consumer, internal or external, large or small, local or global, all events and experiences must live and breathe the key principles of purpose this year, and every year after that. 

This is the view of Sledge’s Operations Director, Laura Chalcraft, who stresses the need for events to incorporate elements of giving back. 

It’s key, too, that these initiatives are not simply introduced on a case-by-case basis, but throughout the year, so that they span a company’s entire event strategy.

Laura delved into this notion further with StandOut Live Events Magazine recently, where she:

  • Highlighted why giving back is so key right now, and will continue to be long into the future. 
  • Outlined the role of the event prof in this equation (hint: it’s a vital one).
  • Shared five ways event profs can weave elements of giving back into clients’ events, from looking to charity-led experiences, to opting for purpose-led suppliers.
