Talking business travel with Sustainable Business Magazine
As a London-based agency that delivers projects globally, we recognise the importance of minimising our impact wherever possible when partnering with clients in locations different from our own.
It's why transport forms a key part of our Team Sustainability Handbook, and this covers not only international and client-related travel, but the ways in which we get to and from the office, how often we work from HQ, and when it is most appropriate to meet virtually than in-person, among others.
Sledge's Operations Director and Sustainability Lead, Laura Chalcraft delved into these practices with Sustainable Business Magazine, where she:
- Discussed the importance of gaining employee buy-in first and foremost, and how our Employee Owned Trust (EOT) model has been vital here.
- Shared practical steps for reducing the impact of business travel, based on the resources, processes, tools and mindsets we have developed and adopted.
- Highlighted the importance of addressing social impact when travelling, and considering how you others can give back to the communities in which they work.
