Personalising the employee experience: it’s no longer a “nice to have”
A cookie cutter approach to employee engagement?
It’s not the way forward, particularly at a time when not only a positive work/life balance, but factors such as meaningful career development and sustainability are at the forefront of peoples’ minds.
Additionally, we’re all unique individuals in our own right, and it’s therefore vital leaders recognise a perk or initiative that resonates with one team member, might not carry the same weight for another.
A passionate people-first leader, Sledge MD, Sarah Yeats recently shared some of her insights around fostering a company culture of this nature with The HR Director, including:
- The value of the Employee Owned Trust (EOT) model in terms of placing employees firmly at the centre of the business.
- Four ways leaders can truly embed the model, such as by looking beyond a flexible-only approach and championing dynamic working, and tailoring value-add experiences so that they reflect peoples’ passions on an individual level.
- How an EOT can be beneficial from an impact perspective, in terms of enabling team members to be actively involved in an organisation’s sustainability journey based on their passions, and ensuring they have the tools to succeed and leave a positive impact.
