How can marketing make a difference?

Marketers have the ability to influence peoples’ purchasing decisions and behaviours, and in the past, the industry has faced some criticism when it comes to using our expertise for the better.

Now more than ever, it’s important we make a difference in this way, explains Sledge MD, Sarah Yeats in a recent article for MediaCat magazine.

Here Sarah shares some ways we can do good in the world, including:

    • Acting as strategic consultants to our clients, and encouraging them to weave impactful messages throughout their marketing campaigns and events as standard practice.
    • Ensuring our people remain a priority, even during the busy times, by advocating for flat level management structures where employees feel comfortable speaking up.
    • Developing ways to attract and retain talent who also want to do good, as well as educating all employees about the value of doing work with impact.
