Producing an immersive, festive themed press event with Lidl

Sledge partnered with Lidl to produce the brand’s largest annual event, its Christmas press showcase. The aim was to attract journalists and influencers, by curating an unforgettable immersive experience for them from start to finish, as the leading supermarket brand revealed its array of new hero products and non-food items.
- Brought the event’s overarching 'Big on Christmas' theme to life, by integrating it with the Lidl brand and several sensory elements, such as customised tunnels that greeted attendees on arrival, to create an immersive, experiential experience.
- Developed an attendee journey that invited guests to view and sample the products at every turn, ensuring the highest quality and taste.
- Produced all aspects of the event, which featured three separate rooms and a bar overlooking iconic sights such as the River Thames and St Paul's Cathedral.
- Sourced and installed all materials and elements within the showcase, with a focus on sustainable options. Many decorations were collected by supplier partners for future use on the conclusion of the event, and real trees were hired as an alternative to artificial or cut trees, which added a wonderful smell to the festive atmosphere.
- Managed the donation of leftover food to the charity, Refuge Network International.
