The Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) sought the support of Sledge to produce four bespoke film pieces, which would air at COP27. These were designed to support BEIS’s activity at the global climate change event, as the department expanded the focus of its FACT Dialogue initiative to the wider issue of land use and forests.
- Provided video and content creation support for four bespoke videos, which were played during the main plenary at COP27, and in the UK Pavilion.
- Each piece of content involved a different stakeholder and vision, and focused on a particular area. These included: Linking Farming & Environment (LEAF), Supply Chain, Restoration and Central Banks.
- The Supply Chain piece highlighted how we must support farmers, while protecting forests, and the Restoration film documented the restoration efforts currently underway in Africa. These films featured narration and compelling, action-driven visuals.
- The LEAF video focused on inspiring and enabling sustainable farming, and the Central Banks piece showcased the role central banks play in halting and reversing forest loss by 2030. Both included a number of global leaders discussing these important causes.
- Developed powerful and attention-grabbing scripts to engage the audience.
- Applied a pace-building, educational style to ensure there was a consistent tone across all videos when played in sequence.
- Edited content pieces by scouring through hours of existing footage in various languages, in order to compile compelling, bite-sized pieces of content, all within a two week period.
- Wove motion graphics, transitions, lower thirds, and an earthy colour palette throughout, to reflect the brand identity of the wider Climate and Land Use Alliance (CLUA) brand.
