Upskilling a local charity's fundraiser event
Knowing we could support in other ways than our painting skills, we offered help in other areas. The Scrum team were hosting a fundraising event and asked if we could support the event management, so the team didn’t need to struggle with supplier management and could focus on delivering a killer event to potential donors that showcases the incredible work they do.

Our Team Value
Managing suppliers, overseeing set up, sourcing kit and herding guests is what our team does regularly - it doesn’t faze us. However, sometimes we forget these are skills that might be daunting to someone else or a team that doesn't operate this way on a daily basis.
By creating set up and show schedules, sourcing kit and organising a lighting plan for the room and then being hands onsite to manage suppliers, coordinate timings, set up production elements, oversee guest arrivals and just some hands for any unforeseen issues, we were able to use our skillset to ensure the Scrum team could focus on what they do best - entertain with performance and showcase how the charity is helping both the immediate and wider communities.

Production Value
The warehouse space the event was taking place in is a great white canvas, and in order to make it feel cosy and welcoming for the seated dinner, we needed lighting to create a soft atmosphere.
A regular production partner, Shoot Blue, donated lighting FOC and allowed us to envelop the space in cool tubular lights giving a colourful glow to the room, along with some working lights for performance and catering areas. Battery operated lighting was essential due to the few power outlets in the space, and coordinating charging and live times ensured the space was beautifully lit throughout the whole event.

Our Creative
Capturing the event was another area we identified we could support. Obtaining photography and film on the night, and delivering a gallery of images along with an edited 2 minute highlight video of the event meant the evening could be shared via social media to promote the charity’s work long after the event.

A word from SCRUM Studios
“As a small charity, Sledge's support for our fundraising event was transformational. The team's expertise and support allowed us to run an event at a larger scale than we have done previously, expanding the number of donors we could reach on the night. They up-skilled our team in event management expertise as part of the process, leaving behind a legacy of skills within the charity that will expand our impact in future. It was such a gift to have Sledge as our champion.” Lucie Dawkins, SCRUM Studios Director
